TAQA Petroleum

 

TAQA Petroleum S.A.E, subsidiary of TAQA Arabia, was established in 2008 as the first privately owned Egyptian company licensed to market petroleum products, including fuels and lubricants through a retail network of service stations under the TAQA brand name across Egypt.

 

In 2009, TAQA Petroleum secured a strategic partnership with BP and became the sole distributor of Castrol lubricants in the Egyptian market since then. In 2018, this successful partnership further evolved into a JV partnership between TAQA Arabia and BP to manufacture and market Castrol lubricants in Egypt while TAQA Petroleum continues to be the sole distributor of Castrol lubricants in the Egyptian market.

 

TAQA Petroleum also operates a state-of-the-art storage terminal in Suez since 2012 capable of storing up to 18MM liters of refined products.

 

 

Fuel Stations

Since its inception in 2008, TAQA Petroleum became one of the fastest growing companies in the Egyptian market and has successfully streamed 65 retail service stations  across Egypt in prime locations within Greater Cairo , Delta, Upper Egypt, the new roads network and on major highways. The company has further ambitious expansion plans yet to be realized to serve the fast-growing fuels market demand.

TAQA Stations provide many diverse products and services through its well-stocked convenience stores to meet customer’s different needs. TAQA stations are equipped with many specialized services such as car washing, lube change, and tires repair utilizing specialized materials, latest technology and conducted by professional staff to ensure a full integrated premium offer to customers. 

TAQA Petroleum has sold over 778 Million liters of refined products including Gasoline 95, Gasoline 92, Gasoline 80 and Diesel.

 

 

Castrol Lubricants

Castrol products in the Egyptian market fulfil the demands of motorists across all classes through an extensive range of automotive engine oils, manual and automatic transmission fluids and brake fluids in addition to a range of commercial diesel engine oils to cover the needs of fleets, owner operators and B2B segments.

It is worth mentioning that Castrol is positioned among the top three lubricant brands in terms of global market share and it is aspired to acquire a fair market share in the Egyptian lubricants market, supported by the premium technology behind the products, premium brand positioning and ambitious marketing plans.

 

 

Storage Terminal

TAQA Petroleum owns and operates a fuel storage terminal in Suez serving fuel supply for TAQA Stations and other players in the market. This backwards integration of supply chain is to ensure highest operations standards of stations as well as to secure supply of refined products. The Suez Storage terminal has a capacity of 18 Million liters and TAQA Petroleum is having a great appetite to expand this storage terminal as well as starting a new project to build a fuel storage terminal in Alexandria in order to increase its storage capacity to cope with the company’s potential stations expansion plans.

TAQA Petroleum has launched a new type of Gasoline 95 octane product under the name “eco95”. The product gets blended through high technology injection system and contains an advanced additive that works to clean-up intake valves and injectors and optimizes fuel economy.
