TAQA Arabia was set up in 2006 to consolidate the dominant players in the Egyptian energy sector. With Genco Group & Global Energy as its backbone, TAQA Arabia has had a well established market share since 1997 and a highly qualified team of professionals in place since its inception.
TAQA Arabia's strategy is to capitalize on the vast untapped energy opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to satisfy the unmet demand for energy resulting from the rapid industrial growth currently taking place in the region. As governments begin to de-regulate their energy sectors, there are ample opportunities for an experienced and well-financed group like TAQA Arabia to become a market leader, providing innovative energy solutions to various market segments.
TAQA Arabia has already secured a solid position in the Egyptian market and gained a firm foothold in the region. We are now uniquely positioned to capitalize on new opportunities in Egypt and the MENA region. As markets continue to grow and liberalize, we plan to further invest through both acquisitions and Greenfields.
